EKD has consistently carved out its niche in the solar landscape, marking its growth with milestones of progress since its establishment.
At the heart of their operations in Leipzig / Schkeuditz lies EKD's central warehouse — the core of their inbound and outbound logistics. With the company's impressive ascent, there's an inherent need to recalibrate internal workflows to meet escalating logistics challenges. And through this, a distinct vision crystallizes:
In the upcoming months, the aim is to amplify logistics efficiency dramatically. This ambition encompasses bolstering inventory transparency, streamlining order processes, and optimizing picking routes. Concurrently, there's a drive to ramp up digitization, with a keen focus on areas like handling and picking. A key aspect of this initiative is the creation of employee training modules that are both impactful and mindful of resource allocation.
Despite its meteoric rise and increased sales trajectories, EKD remains steadfast in its goal to slash lead times. Achieving this demands unparalleled clarity in both order processing and warehousing operations.
Recognizing these demands, EKD enlisted the expertise of SYNAOS and its "Warehouse Execution" solution. Poised as an inaugural step in EKD's digital metamorphosis, this solution promises more than mere digital oversight of warehouse operations; it's a catalyst for procedural optimization and cost efficiencies. An in-depth process workshop was pivotal in pinpointing strategic initiatives, setting the stage for a revamped intralogistics framework.
