We are pleased to announce the availability of the new version 1.9 of our intralogistics management platform. The new version offers a number of exciting new features and improvements to make your intralogistics process more efficient.
Our latest release of SYNAOS IMP brings support for multiple VDA 5050 protocol versions, making it even easier for companies to operate heterogeneous fleets of AGVs and AMRs. We've also enhanced our Mobile Robot Fleet Management and Shopfloor Management features to make store floor management even easier and more efficient.
Read all about the improvements of SYNAOS IMP with the release of version 1.9.
SYNAOS IMP now supports not only the version 1.012 of the VDA 5050 but also the version 1.1.The best of it, customers don’t have to decide which version to use. Simply set up a mobile robot as usual and as soon as we get the first messages from the robot, SYNAOS IMP can determine the version the robots wants to use and the robot is ready to go. Use and mix the use of versions as you like, as there are no limitations in the use of multiple different versions within one setup or even AGV type. The SYNAOS IMP adapts to any needs on the go for an easy and seamless integration of multiple different version to be truly heterogeneous.
With the Reservation Barriers users can better control the traffic especially in high density shopfloor locations such as junctions or in combination with traffic assets. The goal of this feature is to restrict reservations of vehicles by defining virtual barriers that prevent further reserving beyond them until the barrier has been approached within a certain distance (also called activation distance). Having this feature in place SYNAOS IMP allows for further fine-tuning of the traffic flow, especially for complex situations on the shop floor.
You may have known this feature as "Map Management" in the past, but we have completely revamped and improved it to better serve your needs. Our new approach to Shop Floor Management enables us to control the necessary information for the navigation of your various mobile robots and integrate all devices, such as charging stations, handling stations, areas, etc. in one Shop Floor Model into the system. The most exciting aspect of this new feature is that it allows for the upload of different versions of Shop Floors, which is the foundation for having multiple Shop Floors in the system that can be activated when needed.
Although activation is not yet part of the feature, it will be included in upcoming releases, which will give you even greater flexibility in managing your factory operations. This new capability will significantly improve your ability to adapt to changes in your factory's layout, workflows, and demands.
Tired of working with json files? With the introduction of the shop floor editor SYNAOS IMP now provides a graphical user interface to configure and edit elements on the shopfloor in a more user-friendly way. Starting with release 1.9 users can create, update and delete reservation barriers to better manage traffic flow in high-density areas. Tools like drag&drop or copy&paste further ease the editing of the configuration. Changes will be directly applied and are made visible to the user to get a better understanding of the functionality.
Interested in knowing the status and progress of your intralogistics tasks? With the new JobEvents API, SYNAOS IMP provides yet another interface to subscribe for important events on job level. Whether it’s the approaching to a handling station, the performing of a specific handling action or the completion/ failure of the whole job, users now have the possibility to get notified about job events they are interested in via webhooks. Integrating and incorporating the SYNAOS IMP to customer specific IT landscapes has thus become even better.
In the past, it was not always clear why a vehicle was parked, leaving you with uncertainty about the behavior of the mobile robots. With the new visualization of parking orders, you can now easily understand the reason for parking and keep track of the progress. Furthermore, we have improved the transparency of the parking order creation by displaying the reasons for the selection a specific location for parking. You can now have full transparency into the process, ensuring that your factory operations run smoothly and efficiently.
With this feature, users can now manually create a transport order from a specified source location to a destination, and the task will be executed by a robot at the required time. This feature provides increased flexibility for customers who need to create transport orders on-the-fly or for ad-hoc requests. To use this feature, simply navigate to the "Order Tracking" section in the software interface and input the necessary information such as the source location, destination, and desired execution time. Once the order is submitted, the software will automatically assign the task to an available robot and provide real-time updates on the progress of the order.
